FOUNDED |
Morris Smith, the grandfather of the current owner, founded Smith Company in 1946 as a furniture manufacturing and upholstery factory. The business expanded into foam products and upholstery supplies under the owner's father, Harold Smith. David Smith has continued to develop and expand related foam product lines for custom furniture factories and the foam packaging user. Steri-FabStore.com is the newest division of Smith Company developed to sell Steri-Fab via the Internet. Most recently, Hillary (Smith) Thompson is the fourth generation of family to join the Smith Company. She is continuing to cultivate the company's rich history in furniture foam and broaden its commercial offerings. |
